Biographical note of SHA
Mr Tsang was appointed as the Secretary for Home Affairs
on July 1, 2007.
Before taking up his current post, he served as Member of
the Central Policy Unit from July 1998 to June 2007.
Mr Tsang had been engaged in journalistic work for nearly
30 years before joining the Government.
Mr Tsang holds two Master's degrees from the University of
Hong Kong: Master of International and Public Affairs; and
Master of Arts in Comparative Literature. Mr Tsang was a Nieman
Fellow at Harvard University from 1994 to 1995.
He was elected to the 7th, 8th, 9th
and 10th National People's Congress of the People's
Republic of China. |
