out to vote for their representatives in the six contested
arts interests, representing an increase of 57.87% over 1,163
voters recorded in the 2004 polling. The voter turnout rate
was 26.12%.
The following candidates received the highest number of votes
in their respective arts interests -
* Mr Chan Ching Kiu, Stephen (Arts Criticism)
* Mr Ho Ho Chuen (Dance)
* Mr Han Shan Bi (Hon Man Po) (Literary Arts)
* Ms Fei Barbara (Music)
* Mr Lee Kam Yin (Visual Arts)
* Mr Yuen Siu Fai (Chinese Opera (Xiqu))
As there was only one candidate standing for nomination in
each of the other four arts interests, no polling was conducted
for these arts interests and the following candidates were
returned uncontested -
* Mr Wu Shou Nan (NG Kang Fai) (Arts Administration)
* Ms Wong So Lan (Arts Education)
* Mr Ko Tin Lung (Drama)
* Mr To Kei Fung (Film Arts)
The list of nominated representatives of the 10 arts interests
will be submitted to the Chief Executive for consideration
of appointment to the HKADC for the next term, which will
begin on 1 January 2008. |
