"M" Mark Events

Cathay Pacific / Credit Suisse Hong Kong Sevens 2006

This year's "Cathay Pacific / Credit Suisse Hong Kong Sevens 2006" was held from 31 March to 2 April 2006 at the Hong Kong Stadium. The Hong Kong Rugby Football Union has been very successful in making the Hong Kong Sevens one of the most spectacular international major sports events in Hong Kong. Featuring 24 participating teams, this year also marked the 30^th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Sevens. In recognition of its international significance, the tournament was awarded the "M" Mark status without funding support by the Major Sports Events Committee under the Sports Commission.

After a series of breathtaking competitions, England, Wales and China were the winners for the Cup, Plate and Bowl Championships respectively.
